The Blue Note Jazz Club was established in 1981 by Danny Bensusan and has become a cultural institution in New York City as well as one of the leading jazz clubs worldwide, with nine branches across the globe.
The new brand identity draws inspiration from a "note," representing a distinct and isolatable sound that serves as the fundamental building block of music. This note expands and stacks in various formats to function as a core graphic element.
The Note Sans, a custom variable typeface built on the same concept, introduces dynamism to the brand as it flexibly stretches and shrinks.
